Michael, I hope it's to get something better, though I cant imagine what that could be given what you've done to your car!! Good luck!!

Damn Michael, what brought on that huge list of replacement parts? Was it all preventative, or was the engine just worn out? With all the work you did, is there a reason you didn't upgrade to K24s, etc?

Anyway, looks like a very fair price to me!

You have to be a member to access he classifieds. Go to the 993TT board and look for this same post, it has the ad pasted inside the string.

Very nice car and very tempting.

Jeez Mike... you sure you want to do this? Last weekend I took mine up to Mammoth. Snowboard in the front seat and a V1 on the dash. The drive was great and the conditions were awesome. Now I'm thinking about some racks so I can take a friend too. Are you still looking at the M5?

Pcar964,

I bought the car site unseen out of Indiana without a PPI from a dealer who said the car was perfect. Well it wasn't. I spent months trying to get the car to run right as it didn't boost right and was leaking like crazy from the heads and the crank case. In that time i had replaced so much stuff that didn't help it was a joke. Anyhow, i finally got my car up to Viperbob and he replaced a bunch of stuff also and at the end, got the car running right (boosting correctly) but it was still leaking. I couldn't deal so I decided to just go ahead and redo everything. My plan was to keep the car so I put in the Carillo rods just in case i wanted to add K24's or Garrett ballbearings, or whatever and then I knew the motor would be bullitproof as the rods are really the only weak link in the motor.

Eric,

That sounds like fun. Are you coming up for New Years? Yeah, still looking at the M5. I just want something a little more comfy right now. I figure i can always build another one.

Michael,

Reading this post reminds me that I was actually standing with VB at his front door when you first called him.

It's a small world.

Good luck with your M5 hunt.
