Default Porsche brotherhood

This afternoon I went to South Beach to have lunch and parked, as usual, at the premium parking building where the rates are higher but the parking spaces are huge...I drove to the upper level in order to escape from the "leasing generation" cars and possible door dings /dents...anyway...I found an isolated and protected spot on the upper level and left the car safe there...when I got back from lunch I found, side by side, my car...a black 993 C2 coupe...a red 3.2 911 Carrera...and a, full of character, light brown 911S (1976 I guess). It's magnetic!!!!

PS. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me...

Hey Brian...OR is a Porsche friendly state...I bought my ex 356 in Bend and I heard they have the bigger Porsche quantity per capita in the country! Unbelievable the number of 356s in that city... and their dark beer is also great "Black Butte Porter"...

Pedro,

That's funny that you just posted this. I always park the furthest away from any other cars wherever I go. When I get out of the store, there is usually another Porsche, but mostly Carreras, parked next to mine.

Then, about a week ago I went to Home Depot and when I get out I find this black Cayenne Turbo with huge chrome flashy wheels parked so close to mine that I could barely open my door. The Cayenne was full of dings and brake dust. The rest of the parking lot was pretty empty. I couldn't understand what was the point of parking it so far away from the store if the car already looked like it did.

Friday night I the went to the local bottle shop to get some beer, I park on the very corner of the parking lot, knowing that no one will park next to me. Well, as I get out of the store, I see the same Black Turbo Cayenne parked next to mine. It was so close that I could not open the door and get in. I couldn't believe it. I waited for the owner to get out of the store so I could get in and let him know what I though about his parking. 5 minutes later this petite woman comes out with sun glasses (it was pitch dark out) and a hat and she walks towards the SUV. She sees me there, and as I was about to talk to her, she takes her glasses of, and as I recognize who she was, she smiles and says..."Nice car" as she gets in, turns the car on and drives off.

It was Whitney Houston! She lives a mile from my house in Country Club of the South, so she frequents the same stores around here. I guess she was getting Bobby some booze!

When I pull into a lot I always park next to the other Porsches, they're the only ones I trust not to ding or key my doors

That Cayenne post had me laughing my as* off. Great story. Why oh why would she have parked so darn close to your car that you couldn't even open your door? What a moron she was! Granted, she's got the voice of an angel, but with no common sense.

Thanks to all of you for posting. I'm sure we can ALL relate to parking in the ozone and having a really nice car park near us when we return. I'm sure we have all also had the loser from he** park WAY too close when the lot was fairly open.

She has a great voice - but I'd still warn her not to park so damn close, or I'd go bobby brown on her ***.

Bruce and Pcar,
I know I should have but... by the time I reacted, she was already driving off. I was speechless. It was like when you go to the movies and the whole theater is empty, you find the best seat, and right before the movie starts, someone with a big head sits right in front of you!!! Helllooooo....

I see that Black SUV with the bling wheels around here a lot. So, she won't catch me off-guard the next time. I need to practice my Bobby Brown on pills impersonation...

Steve,
Thanks for the laugh. She looked more like the second picture than the first that night. I guess it wasn't her first trip to the bottle shop that day.

Hey Cabrio...let her park close to you until you get a "Celebrity ding"...get photo proof and you'll be able to advertise your car, at the "National Enquirer" tabloid, for a small fortune!!!
