993 Calendar About Ready
Ok, so I now have enough photos to start into the printing process. It might take me a few days to get the final editing done and get started with a printer, but hopefully sometime next week it will be at the printers.
Feel free to take a look at the candidates HERE. I have 12 months plus a cover shot.
Some photos didn't make the cut because of the perspective. - I had to crop down to a 9x12 format. That means that some of the sides of the rectangle had to be chopped. If a 4x6 photo had a car filling it left to right, it got chopped. No good. Some didn't make it because of resolution.
I do have a couple of the same car. Partly because they were nice shots, partly due to lack of variety. There is still time to get some up so if there is something you want to see, lets have it.
Thanks to everyone who contributed.
Finally, if you are interested in buying a calendar, vote on the poll on this thread. It is not a sign up or committment. It only helps me gauge how many to print which will set the price. Thanks.

Brian,
Not to take anything away from the other cars or the work by the other photographers, but I think the shot from Jauder's avatar should be included in the mix. I've always thought it was one helluva fantastic image.
I'd buy a calendar. You have some great shots.

Thanks Mark... I actually would love one of yours up there too! I know you have a 10D and I know you have one bad 993. ViperBob contributed a nice racing shot and it really gives a cool touch to things I think. Instead of a bunch of glamour shots, it shows the TRUE purpose of the 993.
I'll look for Jauder's avatar. Would obviously need an original.

I'll buy in a heart beat!
To continue on Mark's idea...How about placing some members avatars on some of the days. I know I would love to see the avatars of the members that I see around here a lot scattered around in the calendar. That will make it a complete Rennlist calendar IMO.
If you like that idea...you can put mine on November 23rd!

I like the avatar idea. I would love to limit the # of shots per car to one.I'm still doing a little edit/cleanup/positioning of the keepers, but I've used one from everyone who had keeper sized photos up there. I actually didn't even notice the lack of cabs... nothing personal, just didn't think about it. We DO need one.
Paypal will most likely be the method of choice to avoid having to set up any sort of credit card servicing fees and it should allow for international payment a little easier.

Oh, one prob with the avatar idea. One thing I don't want to do is just go around and snag photos and reuse them. I could get into some serious copyright trouble. I need people to submit their photos and pass on priveledges of use. Maybe for a 2nd revision, I'll get a lot more in there and open up a gallery for small photos. I'll also try for a tear off, desk calendar, daily sheet version. I could use tons of smaller photos for that.

Leland - I activated your account. Don't know why it didn't get the email through. It should use whatever password you set up with. Let me know if you can't log in.
Mark, nice shots... I might move the one from your avatar out in favor of one of the sunset shots.

Downtown Dallas? Great... you're probably a Cowboys fan too. I'll ignore that part for now and keep your photos. Guess who I root for. Although, its looking dismal for a wild card about now.
