I have been searching for hours, the wealth of info on the M030/M033 subject is deep. BUT I was not able to find the answer to my particular situation.
I currently have M033 springs on my car and it is Bilstein HD time! My car is so far a 100% street machine (lots of curves though). I have been toying with going to complete HD/ROW M030 route, but I am now thinking of doing the HD's with my existing M033 springs, and upgrading the sways.
Is anyone running an M033 spring / HD shock / M030 or TT sways setup?
Do the softer springs screw up this idea?

I have M033's with Bilstien HD's and it's a brilliant setup, I am very pleased with it. The ride is firm enough with the M033's, believe me.
You must get the HD's with the 30mm of extra thread on the front shocks otherwise the car will not sit as low as it does now. Gert supplied mine.

Gert is no longer the sole provider of the extra 30mm threaded HDs. They are the standard over here in the states now and come with a full Bilstein NA warranty. Folks just need to be careful as there are still many of the older short threaded ones still in inventories (but they carry a new part number so just make sure when ordering).

Bob - do you offer them? Any idea who has them? I've been checking some of my normal sources and not found them with the extra threads. Thanks, Rick

Not to detact from my original question, but why does Gert have the 'special' shocks with the extra threads priced $150 LESS than the regular shocks? Not at all complaining, just curious.

Search and ye shall find......
Always wanted to say that, this is from an old thread (thanks VB)
The new HD part numbers with the extra threads available in May for the US market are:
L: VE3-B648-H0
R: VE3-B649-H0
The pricing has not yet been set. So at this time there is no determination if the are going to be the same price, or more expensive than the existing HDs....

Hi Fred,
I have PSS9s now, but before that I had stock shocks and springs at the US SUV-style ride height. I had found a set of TT sway bars (with the euro TT rear bar at 21mm) and it is the best bang-for-buck suspension upgrade one can do, IMHO. Of course you can spend more dough, but the 22mm/21mm combo does lots to tune out the understeer and make turn-in more crisp ...and this was when I was on stock (and worn out) shocks. I had driven the car daily as well as tracked it for a good 3 years and simply loved the improvement. I have no doubt that they will improve your cornering with HDs and M033s (or 030s). Hope this helps you![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I am running Bilstein HD's with M033 springs and M030 sways.
Got the ride heigth lower in front with the addition of Hergesheimer
lowering collars. Seems to work fine, stiffer than stock though.

Edward & Steve,
Thanks for your insight, yours were the experiences I was looking for. I know a few others that are ready to move on their suspensions (no pun intended) and this is really going to help.
I just got the rusty spring door sound from my top today, the searches never end!
Thanks again,
