Ok folks... it is with much apprehension that I open up a site for creating a calendar for the 993. rennphotos.com This is VERY much a work in progress so please (1) take it easy on me as I finish ironing out the kinks of the site and its technical development, and (2) provide feedback about the site and idea in general. Just for a primer...
This site is intended for all rennlist members - or any 993 owner - to submit pictures to be used for a very high quality 993 calendar. Once I have a good selection - maybe a month's worth - of photos uploaded, I will get a run of calendars produced and begin the sales process. I hope to provide as low a cost as possible to the rennlist member community (especially) but still eliminate as much risk and other upfront costs that I'm putting into this.
PLEASE... absolutely NO copyright infringement. If you don't own the picture, it isn't yours and you can't use it. I want to put a 993 calendar out, not face copyright infringement suits.
Of course, we only have 12 months, so not all photos can be used.
I'm not selling anything yet and am not a rennlist sponsor - yet. If this thing takes off and we get enough people interested to help put this thing together, I will MOST DEFINITELY become a sponsor before posting anything for sale.
Please feel free to contribute any 993 photos/artwork that you think would be calendar worthy. Not your homegrown, inkjet produced calendar... a real, professional quality calendar. All credit, copyrights, etc., WILL be given and preserved.
If anyone in Maryland (Rockville to Annapolis area preferrably) is connected with a printing service to handle the production job here, feel free to email me. I have not worked that arrangement out yet, but do have leads.
If there is enough interest, I do hope to create a section for each Porsche model in the near future. I need to get things worked out here first though, so please hold off on the other models.
That's it. Please register, log in, and then put your best shot or two of your 993 up! Being extremely optimistic, we could see this by the new year!
And now...
rennphotos.com
Thanks!

Brian,
Thanks for doing this. Looking forward to the finished product... you will have a difficult time narrowing the cars down to fit in one calander with all the beautiful cars on this forum.

Brian, did you talk to John D. about using the RENNLIST banner?
He never got back to me but I'm sure he's busy. Also, if we can't use the Rennlist banner, it would be cool to have the 993 registry logo on there or something. Hey Harvey, you out there?

Thanks ... especially for the red cars! I had one slight little problem with my layout last night in that I lost my "add Items" link. It should be back once logged in. (Thanks Nelson.)
Leland - I'll try to talk to John too. Thanks.

You don't want to see me in a swimsuit.
I think Grahams pic of his car with the leaves in the background needs to be added. Seems like there was a really cool pic of a widebody in the snow that would be cool too. I'll look and see if I can find it. Not sure whose it is though.

Yeah Leland... let's see, your sig shows a regular, plain ol' 95 993 C2 .. WITH:
-Black&Tan, Euro TT bumper Cover,
-H&R's over Bilstein HD's, 996 Sport Seats,
-Hollow Turbo Twists, C2S Split Grill,
-Rennsport Systems Chipped, G50/34 Close Ratio gearbox,
-LWF, RS Clutch, RS Motor Mounts
-LPMM's
and I see some clear corners and red brakes. Not to mention probably one of the few with a Montana backdrop.
Anyway, there are some great shots showing up! Thanks for all the support!
