lurking for a few daze anyway...then decided to hop back into Porsche-World with 95 C2 Coupe in adventurine grn. Has some extras and a few things that need doing...I feel the slope..but will try to keep it sane as it's my commuter. I got the Tip for a variety of reasons - I now regret every "#$%$#@! slush-box" comment I made as a kid. Flame away..I will just get left-foot envy or something like it. I think with the tip it is about as fast as my 6 sp 02 Boxster S was with my less than factory whip skills. Got out of Box when we moved into the land of rain.
I will post pics some day..
Some questions:
Referrals for great Indy service in Seattle area. I am South of town.?
Cam weeps, one headlight intermitant, 18" wheels/tires, may need the alu brace and longer bolts...want to go back to Mobil one..few minor things...
any help appreciated
Jim

The local PCA has a good list of indys...there is Squires, Akers, Paul Weir (up north), Chris's (more race prep oriented) and Walkers to name a few out of the magazine. iuse Squires and have been happy.
Welcome! ....and welcome to Seattle!

Welcome! I am also a big fan of that color!
The itermittent headlight is most likely caused by a melted light bulb socket. There is a Porsche TSB out on this. I can't remember the part number, but do a search and you should find it. AFAIK, the parts are less than 10 bucks a side.
The weeping cam reference- is it the valve covers or the cam chain covers? A little more info would help.
Welcome to the Seattle Porsche scene- it looks like we will have decent weather for a couple of days...get out in your p-car and enjoy it. Besides, we may not see the sun until March! LOL

Welcome - that's a great color!!
My pass side headlight wire connector mount broken on top so when headlight is removed and re-installed, good connection isn't made. The car has to be jacked up, wheel and inner fender liner removed to get to backside of headlight and push it on. Now, my headlights are removed for emergencies only!!

Thanks for all the welcomes and refs for local service.
I love the color also - frnd had 6 sp in that color back in 1999 and I wanted it then. 2nd choice was black..I also love garnet SC's in eighties....I owned one of those for a day but it is a story left for a later time..
Interior is grey leather
The car came with what I think are decent service records from about 45K miles to now (86K).
CA car w no records that far back, Squires, Barrier and Redmond European have all touched it in NW. Before that it spent a 2 yr stint in Colorado w service at Ed Carroll motor company. Car has had two sets of valve cover gaskets, last set recently at 85K miles, July 05. Cam weep noted at that time. Got it's 90K early at that time also
Another thing I noticed pouring thru the history is that it has been thru two sets of ox sensors and two sets of control arms...I am sure the 18" put more load on..will try to get car on stands this weekend to see what's under there....
Will try to get pics..youall can help me figure out what wheels I have ?????
thanks also for the local welcome to Pac NW..glad to be back here after our 3 year adventure in St Louis, which was a great place to live - for awhile anyway.
