Touf:

I found a web link to the BAR listing about a year ago. I printed it off their website. I think I have a hard copy around here. If I find it, I will scan it and post.

This post comes at a perfect time as I just got my renewal notice yesterday so I'll be heading off to the smog station soon.

Bob, just out of curiosity, do you remember which referee station you ended up at?

Jim, thanks for looking up the bulletin. I'd love to get a copy for my records.

Some 993 OBDII cars, even though early ones, may not have a readiness problem.
It's all based on the Motronic unit installed. Check here ( www.systemsc.com/codes.htm )
for more info.

Actually, I just had my car smogged at the regular place around the corner from me. Two years ago, I had to get the car smogged at the referee. My experience at the referee was mostly positive except for the fact that they wanted to dyno my newly (then) repaired Turbo. Even after showing them the manual which clearly stated the Turbo being 4WD, they were still dubious. It took 3 guys peering under the front of the car before they were convinced it had a front diff. But the rest went smoothly.

Warning: The geniuses at the DMV have the C4S and Turbo marked as 2WD drive cars. Letting them dyno your car will blow your VC or worse. Do not under any circumstances drop your car off for pickup later. Enjoy your car after smogging
