Default Miami Auto Show - New Porsche customer!!!

Yesterday I went to the Miami Auto Show and obviously headed direct to Porsche stand...they had 4 997s (one with some external mods and 3 plain ones) a few Boxsters and a couple of Cayennes as well...the star was a black Carrera GT over a spinning stand and that's it...I was expecting a Cayman or some sort of special 911...anyway...the Porsche guy was showing the 997 to this couple and she was behaving like a prospective buyer and I felt the car would be her car...they asked a few questions and when the guy opened the hood she asked: "Where's the engine"....

Pedro, did you see any other things of interest? What was the most impressive campaign?

Hi c993k...the show is not really great as far as new stuff...the best stands are from Audi and Mercedes...Porsche is kind of shy but it has the most beautiful girls working!!! ;- )

I got to see a Ford GT up close and personal...I checked the new Saab SUV...didn't like it...

The good thing is the Convention Center is really close to Lincolon Road, then you can visit the show and have fun and lunch/dinner at Lincoln...

Salesman should have said the engine needs to be in the back due to the see-through windshield! DUH!!

If you buy today, we'll throw the engine in at no cost.

I thought it is the Detroit Auto Show that ends on 1-15-2006. That's why the first U.S. Cayman delivery is 1-14-06 or beyond. They don't want any Caymans out on the street until the Detroit show is over.

It is entirely possible that Detroit and LA hold their auto shows on similar dates. I wouldn't know as I have not been to either one. Come to thinking about it, I have not been to the SF show (every Thanksgiving) for may be 10 years.
