Default WTB: 1996-1997 993 Speed Yellow C4S or Turbo

Hi I am in the market for a 1996-1997 Speed Yellow 993 Turbo. I am looking for a clean car no accidents and clean and clear title. I used to own a 1996 Polar Turbo about a year ago and sold it and regret it. I would perfer low miles and stock but if you have a 993 Turbo in Speed Yellow I will take a few more miles. I will also take mildly modded. I am also interested in a 993 C4S in Speed Yellow as I know the Turbos are hard to find in Yellow. I am cash buyer no financing needed, etc. I am willing to pay top dollar for the car. I have been following the 993 market for a while now and I know what they are worth and such. Please e-mail me at cor2nir@aol.com if you have something that fits my criteria.

Thanks

Corey

Nice cars C4Ses are, but they are no patch on a Turbo if you can afford the latter.

If you like yellow wheels with it...don't care for them myself.

I am considering the C4S at Holt Motorsports in PA. I talked to Tim Holt, the owner, he seemed very knowledgeable on the 993's. I like the car but really want a turbo if I cannot find one I will go after that C4S if its still available. Thanks for the leads to other cars.

Doug,

I saw that one been on there for about 6 months. The price was liek 75k and he lowered it I guess. I like the color just not sure about the car. For some reason it doesn't look right, maybes it the spoiler or it looks like it has a body kit? What you think?

I think it'd be worth a phone call and perhaps seeing if a local Rennlister can eyeball it

Agree with you. I kept looking at the pic and thought that something isn't right. If you want, I can go take a look for you. PM me if you want. It is about 15 miles away from my office.

The reason it doesn't look right is its a narrow body car with a widebody tail, I think.

It is indeed a wide-body. The pictures just don't show it well. The VIN is a Turbo one, so that is OK. The new buyer will be the 5th owner of the car, fyi.

I will call him today and see what the car is all about. Mark I also did a carfax on the car and realized it was a 4 owner car as well, obviously rather have a 2 owner car but I guess I need to find out what the car is about first. Do you guys know why the wing on the car doesn't look like the standard turbo wing it looks like the ones on the 993 S cars. I used to own a 993 Turbo about a year ago and my wing did not look like that. Mark also thanks for the offer I might take you up on that when I find out the details on the car. I would perfer to buy from a Rennlister. Let me know if you guys seen any other ones around. I know this time its going to be an even longer search then last time I was in the market for a 993.

Thanks for all your inputs,

Corey

No problem. Go to MA Shaw's website. I believe that wing is one they sell (with the front bumper). It is either Shaw or gettydesign. One or both offer that wing and bumper (or a derivative of it). It isn't the S wing.

If I see one, I will let you know.

Its the wheels that make it look odd, too. Maybe they are 19s ... they look to be the wrong offset.

I think that wing is a better bodies effort, I'm sure I saw it on there when I was looking for a TT wing.
