Got pics? (Of the Baltimore/DC/NoVa/PA Rennlist Meet and Drive) Postem here!
Great day for the Meet and Drive, Mark. Glad you postponed it till this beautiful sunny weekend. Awesome turnout, too. I had all these dreams of taking a pic of each person as they arrived, next to their car, so it would be easier to sort the name with the face and their car for future reference, but then it just seemed goofy when I got there. Plus, I got sidetracked meeting people and chatting...
I didn't take any pics this time till the kind gent with the beautifully restored Jaguar XK140 showed up. It was a feast for any auto enthusiast's eyes... Anyone got some Porsche or people pics to show? Here's some throwaways out of the discard bin for ya! The drive itself was fantastic, giving my old car a much needed workout in the country.
Yeah, yeah, there WERE some other cars here today, I guess!
Did anyone else notice that Mark's car keeps getting bigger every year?
For all you Md/Pa/Va/DC guys that have never done a "Meet and Drive" - they're really a blast! Please give one a try next spring. Hope to see some new faces there. It was a pleasure meeting everyone today. You made my weekend.
Anyone else got pics? Maybe there will actually be a Porsche in one, too!

I don't believe it, I couldn't make it and my brother in law is in every picture! These are the breaks!!! The Jag is awesome, from all accounts. Next time, next time guys.

I don't have any pix to post, but I was there as part of the VA group. Great meeting old and new people.... and yes, the p-cars!!!!!! What a turn out, and a fun run capped off with lunch. A great way to spend a Saturday with fellow drivers. Thanks Mark!!!!!!!

That's Dean with the exquisite Jag XK120 that he lovingly restored himself. His craftsmanship was quite impressive to my eye. IMHO, his car was the hit of the meet.

Andreas.... you didn't happen to snap a pic of my car while we were driving did you? I vaguely remember in the midst of all our "20mph" movement, corn combine avoidence, SUVs that though they were Porsches, and the rest of the action, that you snapped a couple pics backwards. ( I was behind you a long partion of the drive)
If you have those when I was behind, Ide love to see them!
Oh, and just so you know...your silver 993 looks REDICULOUSLY amazing when going "20mph" through some of those banked twisties! Like a Porsche video or something! HAHA. It was great!

Sorry, no pics, but I wanted to put out a big "thanks a bunch" to Mark for planning and executing a nice outing for the P-car gang. As someone who has also organized these types of meet-and-drives, I appreciate how much work goes on behind the scenes and how little appreciation there often is for the effort expended.
I enjoyed meeting a few fellow drivers and hope to bump into you guys again next year when the weather clears up. Sorry I couldn't stay for lunch as I had to pick up my kids from music class and Taekwondo practice. There's always next time!
Thanks again to Mark and everyone else who brought their cars this weekend.
