Default There's no explaining taste

Not having been there I don't know what the roads are like in and around Lexington, KY. Folks around here running 18s or 19s with 35- or 30-series tires
learn to love wheel vibration, have relationships with their dentists almost as intimate as those they have with their 993 mechanics, and have the opportunity to change their wheel styles every year or so.

Cheers

The wheels on my car were painted to match GPW spokes with silver rims from the factory. Just had them refinished, with a difference - the silver rims are now machined with clearcoat. They don't say "show me the money" like HRE/Fikse/Kinesis/CCW/whatever but they are, I think, spiritual and visual descendants of the color-matched Fuchs wheels:

Here is the before pic of my car with the Targa wheels... ugly? Too harsh of a word - to each their own I guess.. just not to my taste.

Sorry, I shouldn't have said that but I have not liked them from the day I bought my first 993 in 1997. I just don't think they look right.

Thanks. They are fantastic, but those centers are fragile though, and very hard to find. Thanks to Chris Walrod for the tip about the wheels.

I'm interested because I'm just about to swap out my 17" Cups for a set of these. I'm with you, I think they look perfect on a 993.

Thanks,

Hey Steve...

I'm no expert, but I believe the "direction of the twists" are the same on both cars, it's just that you're looking at the passenger side of mine and the driver's side of David's... it's one of those things about twists: they're oriented differently on either side of the car.

I like David's wheels a lot... I believe they're 996 TT wheels... they won't fit my NB though.
