Default Hurricanes and P-cars...

What a pain...not enough to care about your own safety, got to dig a bunker to hide the P-car as well...while Wilma (not the Flintstones one!) is deciding whether or not she is going to visit us, I'm evacuting my Cab to my friend's concrete warehouse...no 993 this weekend...well, the weather is a piece of crap anyway!

Fellow Florida owners...be prepare as Porsche is no longer making these babies...got to protect them!!!

As a former South Floridian and survivor of Hurricane Andrew, I can definitely sympathize with you guys. You guys have had a wacky hurricane season and I really hope this is the last one of the year. Be safe and protect them P-cars!!

My 993 is stored in a little concrete industrial building in St. Petersburg, well away from the beach. I'm not worried. It's just a car. I just hope Wilma loses strength before hitting Florida. It would get crowded around here if my parents and my brother all had to move in with me!

Thanks Rich...it's been a pain since 2004...

Hey Shaynes...be safe...hopefully Wilma will get a detour to Bedrock...I worry about Naples...I love the city, especially Campiello on 3rd Street! I was at the Car show last year...organized by the Ferrari guys...well...the Porsche corral was a way cooler actually! I took the 356 there...

Wow, one month in Florida and I already get to see a Hurricane. It just keeps getting better and better.

For once I'm glad I live on the East coast of Fla!. 3 blocks from the beach and I don't have to worry about storm surge, Imagine that!

My baby will sit covered in my garage. If it does affect the East coast it's not supposed to be stronger than a Cat 1.

Batten down the hatches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We should be cool in Naples, we are definitely going to get some weather no doubt, but it won't be the worst case scenario, I sent my wife out of town, and I am sticking in, I will huddle at our condo away from the beach where I have 3 911's stashed with the pets if necc. but my house 4 blocks from the beach but I am on a ridge, 12.5ft above flood evelvation, so it should be cool... Part of living in Fl is dealing with this, and no matter where you live there is a natural disaster that can get you.

It looks like we are going to have a whole week of crappy weather in Fort Laudedale no matter what Wilma does.

I was suppose to be in your next of the wood (Naples) this weekend, but wisely opted out of the yearly golf outing. Stay safe.

Bob,

I lived here for four years in rental condo and never even talk about tropical storms... Last year buught a house in a low lying area and look what has happened!

Anyway, folks in Wilma's path, stay safe even though it's not going to be as bad as it at some point looked.

P.S. Bob, you have PM.

After being "in the dark" since Monday 6:30 am, I got power back this evening and took the car off "the cave" to stretch a bit...I wonder how the fellow South Fla Rennlisters are doing...

Wilma nearly took us all back to the stone age! Take a look at some of the destruction at Lantana Airport http://doorstop.org/KLNA/ the first few photos are just a few houses but later it's all
airplanes and a few classic cars. I was in my garage looking at the garage door flexing back an forth
during 145mph wind with tornadoes on top. Our area was the hardest hit
My 993 was very lucky to escape Wilma.

Hi c993k...good to know you (and your car) are safe...I was very lucky as except for landscaping mess (check pic #2) and tons of branches falling from the mango tree (check pic #1, the moment one broke and before falling to the ground) I did not have any serious problems...
