Protomotive did a conversion on a 996...cosmetically it looks pretty good but I don't know how much of the motor and suspension they touched.

That's a cheap car - the other 993 based GT1 roadcar was sold in the UK recently for over a million POUNDS. That's knocking on for 2 million dollars. And it had something like 30,000km on it so it's one and only owner actually did 3000km a year in it, how cool is that?

I bought a Jag from a fellow in FL a couple of years ago who had a GT1 in his garage. I also think I remember seeing a pic of the same car in Pano at this year's Parade.

It's still listed for sale on his website at www.westcoastmotor.com/wcms.html

$800K seems a steal! (no affiliation, blah, blah, blah).
