Hey guys,
I know some of you guys use RPM Racing in Long Island, NY. Looks like Taso (head tech) is no longer there and they have moved locations.
Anyone know the story? I need some work done in a week or so.

Hi,
I got my PPI done by 'Dave Hammers' on Roslyn Road.
He's an 'independent Porsche mechanic'.
Here's the skinny:

phone no: 516-671-3220
(Note, In my haste to answer ...I posted the WRONG phone no. the 1st. time ...apologies.)

Yep he does. I've (obviously) been "in" it. The last time I was there it was 'awash' with 356's and early (80's) 911's etc. He was working on a transmission and other engines.
As you drive north, along Roslyn road, you'll see a building' on your right that looks like a 'storage facility' with a couple of bay doors. THAT's his "shop".
He's a VERY busy guy so DO call before-hand and 'talk' to him about what you want done etc. Read: being busy ...he doesn't really like or have time for the 'pop in'.
If you DO talk to him ...tell him 'Gerry Murray with the blue 993 (the one he bought off the doctor) sent u!"

I believe that they have split and are moving in different directions as far as business goes. I believe Taso will stay with servicing cars, while Russ is going the way of modding high-end cars. I need some servicing to my car for an upcoming DE and wanted to go back to them. Not having a phone number for Taso (I called the number on RPMs site, which Eric picked up and told me the story) I made a trip out there on Sat. hoping to have my car serviced or at least a time when I could bring it in. The shop was closed and no signs of RPM, but a wrecked blue 993 outside the shop. There was however a door sign which said "TRK(?) Motorsports", which i'm assuming is Taso's new shop name. No phone # or anything else was available.
I also started the same thread on the 996 board knowing that a few guys over there use them as well.
Hope this helps.
