For a coupe, weight is ~3050lbs, 272hp for 1995, 284hp for 96-98 models. All 3.6L in displacement.

It's not a racist comment-it's just an ignorant comment. The 993 which infact is only from 1995-1998 is not a car for drag racing. Why not just get a modded mustang or camaro and be done with it

These guys are right, Magic. The 993 is about the LAST car you'd want to dragrace in. $2000 for a new clutch, by the way. In a straight line, they're not that fast, and any mods to make them fast are ridiculously expensive.

well i do apologize if i've insulted any one here of japanese orgin or decent,i sincerly do.i also just want my 993 to also have a decent 1/4 of at least 7-8 secs.and correct me if i'm wrong but most imported car parts are expensive to replace?.And i do have another question would a Vortech V-4 XX Trim Supercharger would either fit and or work on a 993?.
The specs are
it supports engines up to 1400 hp
Adiabatic Efficency is 79%
Straight Discharge
Max Airflow is 1850 CFM
Max Impeller speed is 58,000 RPM
Max Boost Pressure is 29 PSI
it's 11.186" Wide,12.563" Tall,6.315" Deep
the cost for one is $3,211.00
I also realize that 911's are not made for drag racing i just want to be able to punk anyone off the street say at a stop light thinks they can blow my doors off

Yo dawg that 993 would kiCk! Yo dats straight trippin! In fiznact, all tha equipment you need wizzy fit easily in yo car fo shizzle!

1/4 mile time of 7-8 sec? No problizzle, mah nizzle. But it wizzle cost you a lots o' money ta makes yo ride to-tha-fizzle fast as a dragguhtizzle.

the only consistent way to get a 993 to run the 1/4 in 8 seconds is to put a small-block V8 in the back, at which point most of us in here would be ready to burn you at the stake. You could probably do it with the factory motor, but it'd cost you around $40k for 10 or so runs until it blows up.
If you want a drag car, build a fox-body mustang, and you'll beat anything on the road for less than the cost of a stock 993. porsches aren't about and aren't very good at stoplight racing.

Eric,

Now those are skills!

Can I send you stuff from my teenage daughter to translate for me?
