Default Dirt cheap lifter source!!!!!

I just had to order some steering rack parts for my SC and after reading the other post on $79 lifters, I asked his price on 993 lifters. $14 and change!!!!! Call Jerry now. I don't even need them and just bought a set of 12.

Rick - any size difference? At $14 you could replace them a few times. Thanks for the heads up.

He's the owner of Euro East. Just discovered him and his prices are unbeatable.

I'd be a little leery of lifters at this price--this is far below wholesale cost of the OEM item...

No, he said his cost was around $11 and Porsche's suggested retail was $86.

He said his cost was 12.00 and backed it with 100% guarantee including shipping. Nice guy he also quoted the PSS9 for around 1800.00 and is Bilstein Authorized. I am a little nervous about doing 14.00 lifters and possibly having to do them again. Maybe Pelician Parts will negotiaite a little????? Hopeful

Default Found Some More Lifters

I called and he is all out of lifters till next week or so. I did talk to German Parts & Restoration and they are selling lifters for $31.53 and I have bought a lot of stuff from these guys and have always been very pleased.

I checked as well, he was very responsive and is expecting more in soon, so I reserved some. Keep in mind (as Steve Weiner noted in another thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=14761) that there are 3 different lifter part numbers, to account for manufacturing variations:

993.105.141.05
993.105.141.51 Size 1
993.105.141.61 Size 2

The part # in stock at EuroEast is the first one. If your car needs those, then that's a deal you shouldn't pass by, assuming quality is there, etc. No affiliation, etc.

How can I tell what size I need before pulling the car apart?

Thanks,
Paul

Well, it's quite obvious that there is a HUGE price delta with these things. I can't imagine there are too many aftermarket manufacturers for these. I don't even need them, but trust Jerry, as he's very popular on our local NON-PCA site (www.dorkiphus.com). I'm sure plenty of folks here will install Jerry's lifters before I need them.

Take a look at the thread I ref'd, basically you can't tell without pulling your existing lifters.

Correction, Jerry emailed me and said he was wrong about the pss9 price and could do the suspension for 2009.95. Still not a bad price.
