TheOtherEric - I am interested in your spoiler wall. Not sure if you are willing to ship to the UK, but I wouldn't imagine it's too heavy or bulky. I like the idea if having the Porsche logo on it as well! Is it the logo or the Porsche script?

Anyway, I PM'd you earlier, so if you want to discuss it off the board, drop me a PM.

There is no way this part lasts anything like 5-10 years on a frequently driven car. I've been through three in less than 5 years. I find that black cloth radiator tape is a good reinforcement until I get around to replacing it.

Fred,

I guess it depends on the definition of "frequently". When I bought my car, it had 30,000 miles on it and was seven years old. The spoiler wall didn't start to split until it was in its ninth year. It now has almost 50,000 miles, the last 20K having been driven at fairly high speeds.

I was putting on 20,000 miles a year at high speed (long open highway commute), maybe that has something to do with the life of my SW.

TheOther Eric - I'm still interested in your spoiler wall. I've sent you a PM but there's no reply in my Inbox yet.

Let me know if you are happy sending it to the UK and if so, what sort of money you want for shipping and we'll go from there.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but you would probably get more life out of the wall if you push the spoiler up button as you get going and push it down before you park. This way it only goes up and down once per drive in stead of who knows how many in stop and go on a highway.

But it appears that people behind me at the stop light get so much enjoyment out of seeing it go up and down. Can I really take that from them??

How about a GB on walls pre-screened with either "Carrera" or "Porsche" on them?

Bet we could get 20+ easily together here.

I'd be up for a GB if I don't get a reply from TheOtherEric.

Come on Eric - answer my PM!

When I replaced mine a year ago, it was about halfway torn and had been in service for 11 years and 35,000+ miles. Not a bad service history for a piece of plastic that is required to flex like origami on a daily basis.

After doing a spirited drive on public highways in excess of 162mph with no engine tray on... I noticed that my high speed stability wasn't the same, so I checked my spoiler wall and found out that it was broken.

Seriuosly now...where can I get the spoiler wall for that price or even $80? I just now went online to Pelican and they want $105.50 for it. I would love to give them the business but seems that their price is way higher than what I mostly see in this thread that others have paid.

Try Sunset Porsche. They're cost + 15% + shipping, no sales tax.

I recently got mine at Sunset in Oregon, part 993 512 121 00 rear spoiler "accordian", it was ~ $75.
