Changed my broken rear spoiler wall tonight.

I have replaced mine twice. There is really no big deal with that. The way I did it was take of the four Hex screws that hold the spoiler. These should come off tightly all the way because they are full of locktite. PLease , please , make sure you are 100 percent alert for taking off every screw, because if it falls, it will fall in the engine, and probably you wont find it.
after the four screws were off, unhook the lower rubber lip by pushing down-towards the front of the car and upwards.gently bend the plastic wall to the rear of the car and pulled it off. The upper is very easy to take off too. it is snaped on to the rail. Just unlip and remove.
I can do it again and take pictures.
As for Price, porsche part number 993 512 121 00 costs 64.82 euros (US$83) Sales Tax included from the dealer. and bagger, your dealer quoted you a price on the wrong part number I presume.
If anyone is stuck with the DIY , please drop me an email

I second your thoughts on watching the screws. One did slip and I lost the lockwasher. I haven't driven it yet, and will try to locate with a magnet tonight. It should be to the side of the engine, not on it, as that's where the screw was resting.
Regarding unsnapping the bottom part, I should have tried that. I unsnapped the top, but slid off and on the bottom, per one of the DIY instructions, being careful not to scratch the paint. If I ever do it again, I'll snap the bottom vs. sliding...

Just looked at mine.
Its not ripped but the top edge is not attached to the spoiler but folded down on itself ( about 1.5 inches, so there is a gap between it and the spoiler of about that much). The car is new to me, but I presume it is supposed to attach to the spoiler, no?
It doesn't seem to reach- just barely- certainly not enough to snap in.
What gives?

Ritter,
If the top edge of your spoiler wall is not attached properly, you'll need to manually lower it in order to have enough flex to re-attach it. I presume you were looking at it with the spoiler in the fully-raised position?

Ritter,
No idea why it was unsnapped, but if that's all, then yes, you should me able to re-attach it after lowering the spoiler a bit. Just move it down some, and see if the wall will reach. It has a certain amount of flex built in.
Cheers,
Andreas

I agree with the above comments about not needing to remove any screws. The key for me was the rubber piece at the bottom (pic, from p-car.com diy, below). I could not slide the wall out left or right until I figured out that the rubber piece simply slips off of the engine lid.

I fixed my broken spoiler wall today without removing the spoiler from the car.
Super easy DIY, just snapped the old pieces off and snapped the new one on. It took about 20 minutes.
Thanks Father of 3!

About 10 min. to brew up some coffee, another 30 min. for donuts, coffee, and convo, another 30 min. to check on the progress of his soon-to-be "full-concoured" car, another 30 min. of bs'ing, and then 20 min. for the install.
Thanks again G!
