Hi,
Does anyone know the exact size of the bolt that secures the front seat belt mechanism in place on a 96? I tried to put the stock seats and seat belts in my car today and have the top (harness bar) bolts but not the bolts for the seat belts themselves. I attempted to thread a 12mm x 1.25, 12mm x 1.5 and 12mm x 1.75 none of which fit? I can go to the dealership and order some up but figure I’d ask. I know the dealer will take several days to get in house and I would like to install the seats ASAP.

Or better yet, perhaps someone has a couple bolts kicking around that they wouldn’t mind selling?

I only know that the seat belt bolts are specialized... stronger than normal bolts... and I don't have any spares... good luck..

if I remember right, when I was installing my 5-point harnesses, the one curious thing I found was that the bolts are NOT metric, but SAE. Can't remember the size, though; think it's something like a 1/2 or 9/16 fine thread.

I called the dealer and ordered the bolts; $4.00 each and it looks like they are 11mm x 17.
