Default Starter Ground

Hi there, just finished a LWF install and the starter turns once then stops, just like a really low or dead battery, ( but it is not the battery). Turns out I forgot the Ground cable from the starter the the body. Found the cable on the work bench after it was all complete. Would not having the ground attached cause this issue by not completing the circuit? or is there something else i should be looking at? wanted to know before i go though all the hassle to hook it back up to find out i have to tear the starter out, thanks

you can test it by using your jumper cables and connecting the negative battery to the tranny. It should start right up. BTW, it is possible to connect the ground to the starter with the engine in place - it just takes several extensions and a u-joint (ask me how I know).

Great I'll try that. Ya i was thinkin that it was going to be lots of fun with the engine in.
