Default driving lights for Turbo-S ducts

I currently have amber fog lights in my Turbo-S ducts but would like to replace them with halogen (good) or HID driving lights (better). Pilot doesn't seem to have anything in the correct size with the correct beam...has anyone replaced the positioning lights in their S ducts w/ driving lights?

TIA

Hi mate.

Had this delimma myself a while back. PIAA used to make a 35w halogen spot light which could be retrofitted. Unfortunately its discontinued.

I wanted to keep my factory Turbo S ducts looking factory original. Issue in replacing keeper light is the heat of a higher wattage bulb. I found the perfect hi tech solution - LED festoon bulbs. I used the 9 cluster super white 39mm festoon - no heat, very low power consumption - suposedly lasts longer than standard bulbs and gives a 25w equivalent light. Its not focused like the original fog lights , nor a bright but its pretty intense and gives a nice blue/white hue. At distance on a highway at dusk they infact are more obvious than the 35w halogens.....thats my suggestion. Try thme for a few buck sand 10 minutes tool time and see what you think - I get +ve comments on mine all the time! I ended up replacing all the cars interior/bonnet/boot/gove box bulbs with these in the ned - I can leave my hood open for days with little battery drain!!!

Cheers
