I'm in on a GB, as long as we get deadpedals too!

All, as stated before I am willing to consider a group buy on the pedals. However, I also need to be sensitive to the sponsorship issue. I've been on Rennlist for a long time and want to play by the rules. I'll check with John and see what he thinks.

Rhino, my website is www.hargettprecision.com and my ebay sign is hargettprecision. Thanks.

Here is a dumb question. I just started DE and have not learned to heal and toe yet. My instructor was telling me that I should learn to brake with about half of my right foot on the brake peddle and then use the other half to roll over and blip the throttle (not really heal toe as far as I can tell). Using this method I do not see how these peddles would help. I assume with these you are using full foot on the brakes and then using your heal to blip the throttle?

Any idea on which method it easier since our throttles are hinged from the bottom.

Thanks for the advice on the novice question.

There are no dumb questions, nobody knows everything. With the standard pedals, this is correct. Left half of right foot on brake, right half on throttle - requires a fair bit of ankle flexibility.

Well, you can use more of the top of your foot on the brake with these, because your heel actually is doing something on the little wing sticking out of the accelerator pedal. Improves braking feel, IMO, and doesn't require you to roll your ankle as far. (I'm getting old!) The accelerator pedal I have is height adjustable as well, making it easier to have the brake and accelerator nearer to the same plane. I don't know if these we're discussing are adjustable for height...but they sure look nice and would be a big improvement for heel-and-toe over the standard, skinny pedal. (No affil, blah, blah...)

Do these screw into the top of the rubber gas peddle? Do you remove the brake and clutch rubber pads and screw into the metal part of the peddle?

Hey guys,

I haven't heard back from John yet but since everyone was interested in the dead pedal here it is. I just finished it, came out pretty nice. Any suggestions welcomed too.

Looks great! Is that side brace going to intrude in the footwell much?

I purchased marks pedals on Ebay and was very happy with them. They help greatly with heel toe. I removed the rubber from the brake and clutch and screwed them on to the pedals. You will need a good drill bit to get through the pedals. The throttle goes over the plastic pedal. His screws for the throttle pedal would not work. You will need to buy your own. no affiliation yadayada
