RUF Modular 3 Piece Wheels. PICS
Hey guys...i just bouhgt a set of 18x8.5 and 18x11 RUF 3-piece Modular wheels for my 1996 993 C4S. I got them with 500 miles on them with Continental tires for $3k picked up. Which is appreantly a pretty darn good deal! The rears have 295 tires on them which will be nice! Does ANYONE have these on their car? Or have any pictures of them on ANY car? I have only ever seen them on the RUF site on a table...never on a car! please send me pics! or post them here! THe ebay item # is 7991830838 THANKS GUYS!

Are those RUF wheels FOR SURE? HTey look like Kinisis to me...but I LOVE THAT CAR! God they look BEAUTIFUL! Of course I'll post pics! THen again when I get my RUF bumpers and a-pillar treatments!

Ebay states the winning bid was 4151.23.... how did you get them for 3k? or are we talking about a different set?

No... they auction clearly shows "Ruf" wheels. Very similar in appearance to the Kinesis.

No mor epics of Kinesis please! THey are getting confusing! I bought my wheels from the same guy who sold the wheels on ebay. He had two sets. THe set that sold on ebay was BRAND NEW, never driven and 11.5" in the rear. I bought a set of the same wheels but 11" rears with 500 miles on them for $3k. I'll have them by next monday! SO EXCITED!

Not to alarm you but I would be all over this transaction until they show up on your doorstep...did you pay by credit card or PayPal. There are a few flags on that auction: 1) first time seller w/no feedback; 2) claims he imported one set w/tires for his car but also "happened" to have a second set of wheels (also w/tires!) for you (flashbacks of Pierre FPB fiasco!); 3) first pic is from Ruf website but others are not (why even bother with the first pic?); 4) ordered 18x12s but fitted them only w/295s...these are a bad fit for 12" wheels and most guys will go with 315s if they go to all the trouble for importing hard to get wheels in an aggressive width, unless the offset was incorrect (what is the offset btw?); and 5) willing to sell to you for $3K when the clearing price was $1k higher.
I hope I'm just overly suspicious but there are some things that don't smell right. Otherwise these wheels look good and the price you paid would seem to be a pretty good deal.

Dude, he lives like 45 miles from me and is delivering them to my doorstep. I am not worried about it. The set he sold on ebay was 11.5" wide in the rear. and the set I am getting is 11". He had two set because he was going to replace his 11" rears with 11.5" and then he had to sell his car. The guy is not a very nice person...but if he comes to my door with the wheels in the condition described I will take them!
