[QUOTE=jkuniverse]Craig, I went to the garage and tried it myself. I pull the carpet and put it over the brace...and was able to fasten all three buttons. I hope it helps.

Just goes to show ya. I called AJ USA and the guy that answered the phone in the parts dept. put me on hold to ask someone. Then he came back on the line and told me I would have to cut the carpet to mount the strut brace.

Does anyone have the Part # for the original 993RSR strut brace?

Thanks,

The exposed bar set-up provides an excellent place to hang that extra set of bathroom towels that is sitting in your closet...

Only the RS /CS used a cross strut as standard, it was an option on the RS though
the # is 964 343 042 00

it was/is designed to bolt to the std Unibal joint

I can recommend the KLA bar also. I have not tried the other ones and I am sure they are excellent. I liked the KLA because it was reasonably prices and well-made. It made a noticeable difference in removing the small squeaks that came as I would exit my driveway. I took that as a sign that it stiffened the whole front up. Don't know how much difference it makes to performance driving as I have never taken it off from one lap to another to test it but it can't hurt.
