This is fascinating information, and will prompt me to check my rear view mirrors with extra diligence on the 51st consecutive lap when next on the Nordschleife in my lowly C4S .... for at 10 sec/lap deficit, I can enjoy 50 laps in tranquility ( if the fuel holds out) before having a 987S glued to my *** - which might be misconstrued as a typical hairdresser move in any event ....

I cannot understand why the hard top boxster (AKA Cayman) is more expensive than the sopt top boxster. Other car companies seams to produce soft top cars which are more expensize than there hard top models.
And second - a Boxter S? If you are going to buy a Porsche - you buy a 911. All this other stuff they sell is just trying to appeal to the masses (ie women).

Not really, I owned a 993 for 8 months and was very disappointed with it, the handling was poor. My old 944 was better as a drivers car than the 993. As for the 987S it just pisses all over it.

Just a thought but how well set up was your 993? They should handle pretty well rather than crap and you are comparing to a mid-engined, sporty boxster so that should handle pretty good. I'd stop standing on the seat though as you'll get a lot of bugs in the face when you drive it like that.
Thanks for the video clip.

There's somethin' ya don't hear every day.. 993 is a poor handling car. Yikes.
Disclaimer: I don't know the history behind all of this... just thought that was a really funny (and telling) comment.
