Carlos,

Hmmm, are you prepared to have every square inch of the car repainted? That sure is a pricey proposition. Phil (993RS) had this done and thought it was an arduous enough process that he would never undertake again. If you're not going to have all of the bits and pieces taken off to do a first-class job, would it bother you to see Azurre on the outside but silver in the engine compartment, trunk area, door jambs (the forward part of the door has a lot of nooks and crannies), etc? It would bother the heck out of me.

Azurre is certainly a pretty color. Can't say I care much for the painted wheels, though.

Good luck with whatver you decide to do.

Keep it the same. That way when I win the PCA car (or get chosen to buy one) I will be unique.

Changing colors and doing it right (as befitting a Porsche) is a HUGE job... I would stay with stock color.

Silver isn't my first choice (as evidenced by what I drive) but your's looks great. Don't go crazy and shift colors at this point. Just my 2 cents.

EDIT: I guess I should have mentioned that this is planned concurrently with an engine rebuild, so it would be an engine out, window out (new seals and windshield) and bumpers off respray. Thanks for the head's up, though.

Stock Arctic Silver

Azurre with silver wheels

Azzure with painted wheels

If you want a perfect finish, you will need to take the interior out as well and the fuel tank to remove all traces of the original paint...

I second Mark on this. Not to mention potential headaches when it comes time to sell your 993.

I would keep with the stock colour (looks great by the way). Unless you get everything done it will always stick out as having been painted.

Cheers,

All things being equal, I would still choose the silver/silver...
