Talked to N. Hollywood Speedo and they are very helpful in figuring out 993 glass/polycarbonate gauge face replacements. According to them, the Speedo can only be polycarbonate but looks like glass but can be drilled for the reset button. They recommended glass for the other gauges and the Speedo will look just like glass and an excellent improvement over the scratched and discolored original plastic...

I did this on my 964 a few years back and it was a mess when I had finished. No matter how careful you are it will be very obvious that the speedo has been apart. IMHO for $45 it is a no brainer to have the experts do it.
