Question car jacking plates???

I recently saw on the rear of someone's 993 (I can't remember who... old age), a nifty aluminum plate that bolts to a mount at the rear of the engine, and can be used to jack up the rear of the car. I'd really like to get one of those. Who sells them?

Performance Products sells a "jacking puck" which can be used at each jack point to raise an individual wheel ($29.95). That seems like a good way to do the front.

Thanks

Steve,

Are you referring to this?

edit-

to further finish on the lifting theme... I use one of these plates when jacking from the rear lift point to get the front up in the air...

I then set the car down on jackstands made by ac products...

And as BobbyT said, I lift the rear of the car using a low profile jack w/ a hocky puck between jack cup and engine case and set it down on 2 more ac jackstands at the rear jacking points.

Makes for a safe, solid method to raise the car and put it up on jackstands so I can feel confident to crawl under that pig to do the work.

Kelly,

Yes, <gulp> that's the one. But $265? Yipe-o-rama. Are there any other alternatives? Anybody?

I got mine when Ron put together a group buy some time ago. I didn't get the tow hook part (since I don't track this car yet) so it was a bit cheaper. Only takes a few minutes to install and makes lifting the rear end much easier.

A hockey puck in the jack cup, or between the jack stands and the jack points on the car, works well for me.

TrackJunke,

Thanks... good resource, but its the same part... for the same $265. I'd like to have the plate, but that's about 2x what I'm willing to pay.
