HID mod
Im thinking about doing this mod. Those of you who have done it are you pleased? has it been reliable? who is the individual on ebay who sells these? what was the best price for the previous group buy? thanks peter

Forgot who the individual was that sold them, but mine have been on for about 4 months, and I NEVER would want to go back. I'm an idiot when it comes to DIY stuff as well, and it was a pretty easy install--just make sure you have a dremel tool and a circular bit for a drill [one that you bore holes in wood with is what I used].

Here is the link to the eBay seller that we all bought from. In another thread they're trying to set up a GB.

SilverPorsche--I think if you tell him that you are from Rennlist he will give you a discount...not sure, but that guy should be happier than a pig in $hit that this many people are buying stuff from him because of an online web board....I bet if you get 5-6 people max together, you can get it for a lot less. IIRC, I paid around $190 shipped or so.

Please also ask the seller if he will ship to Canada and I'll round up a few locals for the group buy, even if I need to broker the shipped units for the other local guys.
Thanks

I also had a group buy question in to the eBay vendor listed above. See response below.
"Hi, thank you fro your email. The price would be $250 each kit. We do
have about 13-15 in stock right now, so if you are interested please let
me know. These kits are excellent quality and due to that might cost
more than what other sellers might offer you. email me and tell me what
do you think. thank you!"
I have never done a group buy before, so I would be much happier if one of the experts takes it from hear...or lets wait and see if pguy get a better price. At any cost, please put me down for a set!

If all of you guys are all trying to contact the same guy to organize a group buy I don't think that is the best way to get a good price. He'll think that there is so much demand out there based on the emails from various people that he will have less incentive to move on price, when in fact it's just one group buy out there. What I would do is try to put together a list of who is in at what prices, and use that demand to negotiate with various vendors. Once you get a price you can repost for a final headcount. For his efforts, I would not think that it would be inappropriate to let the group buy organizer have his lights at a some discount as a thank you for his efforts.
Just my $0.02 (I have no vested interest in this as I already have my HIDs)
