Sorry guys, I would love to tell you all about the 5 years hard slog from design, manufacture and development, but I can't because I make the parts myself (as opposed to buying them from a.n.other). In my naivety I though that the largest Porsche forum in the world would be interested in a cutting edge design aircooled engine, even if I did design and build it from scratch. I am obviously mistaken and for that I apologise.

Don't get me wrong, I am not blaming the moderators for deleting the post, they have a valid job to do and do it well for little thanks. Maybe in retrospect I should have been a little less excited about the dyno result and worded the post differently. Anyway, as others have mentioned, you can now read about it elsewhere first.

Briefly , Motorsport 993 RSR 385 bhp measured on Engine dyno - Ninemeister 3.9? 415 bhp on a chassis dyno .Do you really believe the factory was that far of the mark ?

To be honest I still think it is bizarre that one guy on a PC with $1000 dollars worth of software (and an engineering degree) can conceptualise, design & build an engine that beats the might of Porsche Motorsport.

I cannot really comment about the specific factory engine you mention because I have not seen how it was built, but I do believe that in general the factory lost their way with the 993 RS road & RSR race engines by inadvertantly designing in bottlenecks that restrict the power.

With the benefit of engine modelling we appear to have succesfully addressed these problems and yielded the true power & torque capacity of the engine, namely:

3.82 litre (103mm bore),
414.8bhp @ 7400rpm at the flywheel
357bhp at the tyre at 190mph in 6th gear,
326lbft / 442Nm at 5600
>300lbft from 4000 to 7000rpm.

As tested on our Bosch FLA 203 chassis dyno (uncorrected figures at 18C intake temp & 1022mbar)

There is probably a little more to come as we further develop the intake & exhaust (above power made on stock 993 heat exchangers), we may also revise the cam & follower to increase the lift beyond what is currently possible, but this is for the future.

We have a plan Mr. H so fear not, it's just that I have never been succesful at multi-tasking.

Besides, there may be some nice options for you resulting from the above as we are looking for suitable roadgoing donors to test our heads although as ever, unfortunately, not for free.

As for Mr C., you could always go elsewhere and then have your engine worked on every month......

Ok Colin , so you have acheived 108 bhp/litre , up there with the 4 valve GT3.
I guess that a race motor like this must have 100-200 hours life and no chance with any kind of emissions testing ?
