Let's make sure that we're all talking about the correct wheels (picture attached). Forgetting the fronts for a minute, the Carrera Lightweights are 18 x 10 with an offset of 65mm. The Boxster are 18 x 9.5 with a more aggressive offset (don't remember the actual value).

Alon,

265s in the rear. I have to check on the camber, I can't recall, but the car was aligned when the supension was done. At that time, I had 17" cups on though.

I assume 265/35-18s in the rear. What brand of tire? Where were these wheels purchased? Are they in fact OEM because I've seen copies on e-bay lately.

This seems strange to me. You shouldn't be experiencing any issues.

Interesting... I have not seen copies of these wheels, but I have not been looking for a very long time.

chammond-
Where did you purchase the wheels from? Are these OEM Porsche wheels?

Purchased from a local Rennlister in Chicago. As far as I can tell, they aren't copies. They say made in Germany so I'm assuming they are the real deal.

Here are a couple of picts of the tire/wheels. Hope they turn out ok, they are from my Treo. Does anything look suspect?

Can you get us a close up of the hub area (unless you're sure that there are no spacers on there, even the slightest thickness)? These seem to be very agressive looking in their offset and that doesn't make much sense. They should almost be a bit inboard with the proper offest and the car they're on.

Looks like they are the wrong offset to me, at least they are certainly sticking out beyond the fender lip. Obviously, they will rub the fender when the suspension compresses. Read the wheel near the valve stem, I believe, and tell us the offset number. If it is not on the outside of the wheel near the valve stem, then jack the car up and remove the wheel and read us the numbers on the inside of the wheel.

Is it an optical confusion, or do you have a lot of rear toe? Toe-in is what I am referring to..

If they are OEM parts, the width and offset should be cast into to the wheel on either side of the valve stem. What does it read?

It says 52. Is this the wrong offset?

Yes, it should be 65.
