Yuck,
assume (hope) your o.k.? is the damage limited to the w/s ? that could easily have killed you or at least hurt you enough to crash, which also could of killed you!
your lucky if you came out of this unschathed!
I'd have the interior addressed by a professional.
Seagull? I'd also make sure they use a strong anti-bacterial on the interior with West Nile virus, etc. you never know......
Looks like a take from Hitchcocks " The Birds"
Let us know more?

How fast were you going? it looks like that bird hit your windshield at 150mph. Did you happen to see the thread on the 944 board about the owl. original poster has since deleted the pics, but a very large owl got wedged in a roof rack of an SUV. the talons on the poor bird were really something. it was twisted up in a bad way. not pretty, but not nearly as ugly as this.

Sounds like this driver needed the famous Mercedes "buzzard bars".
(Couldn't find a photo of the real M-B car.)

What was it, a frozen chicken?
A friend had a bird strike like that, but was in an aircraft. The bird (might have been a hawk) made it through the prop unscathed, then crashed through the window missing pilot and passenger, barely.
The pilot made an emergency landing at the field, taxied into the hanger, and the bird came to at that moment. The bird was a little angry and both pilot and passenger had to make a quick exit from the plane. Glad it wasn't a deer.

Based on multiple bogeys, my experience with 993 aviary dynamics is as follows:
1. Up to 80 mph, almost any bird has time to get out of the way.
2. As speed goes above 80, impact will be at top of WS, moving down as speed moves up.
3. Small bird impacts below 100 usually just leave a couple feathers behind.
Aplogies to bird lovers and emergency room physicians.

something is up...either someone propelled that bird at that windshield or the driver must have been going really fast...
I only think this because there is a load of guts from the bird on the chair...
