Painting the centers black, for me, hides the centers, which are the least attractive and at the same time, gives the car an old-school Porsche look (read Fuchs-style). I still wish someone would make a correctly proportioned 18" Fuchs wheel-I would snag a set instantly.

The twists look too much like a Japanese idea you would find on a Supra. Straight spokes are much better, and more "German".
Car looks good. How's the ride with the shorter sidewall?

Well I gotta say as you apporach the car from normal standing hieght the size is not as apparent as in the side view photo. As far as being challenged in the old "pork sword" department, the car already has this stigma with some-so I guess the wheels are a small ***** enhancer...

Franklin: Thanks for the pics I think 19" would be fine on the 993 but they have to be the right ones. Maybe it's the offset on your wheels, the rear looks like they are sticking out a bit. Are the wheels made for a 993 C2S? I have to agree with Addison's comments, I think the only 19" wheels that would go with the 993 are the RUF wheels maybe because of it's flat face and not Blingy. IMO

I think the "problem" with the Cargraphic wheel is they are reverse lip also. Therefore, we are really looking at a 20" face on a 19" wheel which makes it look even "bigger".
As many have said before, wheels are so subjective. The only opinion that really matters is yours.

Ok, not to keen on the new wheels. Also, I don't care for the twists but rather like the look of you painted black ones.

Franklin,
Again, all that matters is what YOU like. But even when the price is "right," you still have to love what you drive, so I wouldn't make a good price one of my considerations, personally of course

Another vote for the CG wheels. They elevate the aesthetic of the car and I love mesh wheels on a 993. Of course I'm biased. I just ordered the GG wheels for my car. I'm going to refinish with this look after I enjoy them for a while.

shidinger-
Where did you find the pic of the wheel with black rim, silver center? Just curious.
