I still wish someone would make a correctly proportioned 18" Fuchs wheel-I would snag a set instantly.
Fair enough, but the painted centers are a throwback to the painted fuchs days. Plus it highlights those nice big rotors and REDS. For guys that upgrade to these brakes (not that I did), after spending a few grand, would you really want to cover them up with rims?

The twists look too much like a Japanese idea you would find on a Supra. Straight spokes are much better, and more "German".

Car looks good. How's the ride with the shorter sidewall?

Michael
Yes indeed. I've never liked the twists. One reason is that the twist is the same on all wheels. So on one side they twist foreward, and on the other side they twist backwards. This is totally unacceptable.

Ok, I won't. OMG that 2nd pic of your car with the 19's is HIDEOUS. It's just all WHEELS and my eyes just don't see anything else. I'm not one for blackened wheels, but it would be hard to look any worse than the 19's do. The 19's just seem to scream "I HAVE A SMALL *****!" If I saw this on the street I'd honestly shake my head in embarassment to be a 993 owner.

Well, you DID say to be honest...

Well I gotta say as you apporach the car from normal standing hieght the size is not as apparent as in the side view photo. As far as being challenged in the old "pork sword" department, the car already has this stigma with some-so I guess the wheels are a small ***** enhancer...

Franklin: Thanks for the pics I think 19" would be fine on the 993 but they have to be the right ones. Maybe it's the offset on your wheels, the rear looks like they are sticking out a bit. Are the wheels made for a 993 C2S? I have to agree with Addison's comments, I think the only 19" wheels that would go with the 993 are the RUF wheels maybe because of it's flat face and not Blingy. IMO

I think the "problem" with the Cargraphic wheel is they are reverse lip also. Therefore, we are really looking at a 20" face on a 19" wheel which makes it look even "bigger".

As many have said before, wheels are so subjective. The only opinion that really matters is yours.

I love the CG wheels. The 19s are a bit flashy for my taste, but each to his own. I don't think that it is over-the-top however.

Ok, not to keen on the new wheels. Also, I don't care for the twists but rather like the look of you painted black ones.

That's it! I DO indeed like the design of the wheel. But you're right, Addison, ...it is the reverse lip that lends the illusion of an even bigger rim. I bet if it had the "proper" lip outward, one could hardly notice that it were a 19" wheel.

Franklin,
Again, all that matters is what YOU like. But even when the price is "right," you still have to love what you drive, so I wouldn't make a good price one of my considerations, personally of course

Like the twists (alot). Don't like the 19's (alot). The 19's look ghetto to me.

Another vote for the CG wheels. They elevate the aesthetic of the car and I love mesh wheels on a 993. Of course I'm biased. I just ordered the GG wheels for my car. I'm going to refinish with this look after I enjoy them for a while.

shidinger-
Where did you find the pic of the wheel with black rim, silver center? Just curious.
