HK,

Textars are the preferred pads (as opposed to Jurids.) When I slap Textars into my car, I do it without the spiders and have not had any problems with noise on the street. WRT to them eating rotors, the Hawk Blue track pads I run are much worse. Not that wear matters anyway since my rotors crack long before they're worn out.

Obviously, your mileage has varied.

You wouldn't really put Peb Boys pads on your Porsche when the OEM pads are about the same price (or less), would you?

GrantG,

I was expecting that to be the first response...

What if I said tirerack had the same set of ceramic pads on sale for $130? Would that make them Porsche worthy? I'm all about performance and $ savings no matter who the vendor is. So unless we have some personal experience or technical knowledge on how these pads perform or may perform, please save the Pep Boys comments. If not, I’ll pull the trigger and provide a review for the open minded enthusiast. BTW, Mobil 1 is on sale...
