OK to mix tires with different N ratings?
Ok, this is an oddball question.
Given the same brand of tire, same size/model of tire, is it a problem to have one rear tire showing an N2 rating and the other three are all N1?
This car had one tire replaced due to a cut (early in its life), but one of the rear Pirelli P-Zero tires has an N2 rating while all the other tires have an N1 rating.
I know the N ratings are to differentiate a tire that that Porsche has tested and approved, but is it really bad/dangerous to mix the ratings? Tires look visually identical...
Opinions?
Cheers;
Eric

The tech at Newport Porsche said that the different numbers at the end of the N designation indicate the revision of the N number, but that all N ratings are compatable with each other (ie mixing N1 with N2 is no problem).
