Suspension comparison
I have a friend with a '97 993 C2, stock suspension. We drove over a railroad crossing whose condition was about a 4 (10 being the worst). I was driving and he told me to go over the tracks at our current speed (40mph). This 993 went over those tracks like my 2002's-wheels always on the ground, jars you some, but a feeling of complete control while going over those surfaces. He had just installed new factory shocks.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining about my cars set up. But there is a significant difference. I have Bilstein HD's, adj from Gert, and H&R springs. I slow down and go those same tracks at about 15 or 20 so the suspension doesn't verbally complain. And if I hit those tracks at 40, it would jar the car pretty hard. I know I would have control with this setup...
Anybody noticed such a significant difference if their car went thru this transformation.
AND I've drive my car more this year than last. I think the reason I posted another inane topic is 'cause I'm just excited about driving my car in this beautiful spring weather. It is running so good. I think I got a real good one and it makes me feel like a kid (which my wife is convinced I am).
