Default Three cheers for Rennsport Systems

I just wanted to vocalize my praise of Steve and Rennsport Systems. Some of you know my alternator failed Sunday evening coming back from a weekend at the track. Monday morning I called Steve W. and he had a remanufactured alternator drop shipped to me overnight. The new alternator showed up this afternoon and will go in the car this evening. I’ve owned three 911’s in over 8 years. I’ve done business with all sorts in those 8 years and I can say, without question, I have never had a better experience. I am under pressure to get the car back on the road before Thursday when I am expecting to leave for Boise, ID. Talk about a good way to build a customer base –wow. Steve had the alternator on my door in approximately 30 hours. Guys, he took care of me. It’s just so nice to have someone just ‘come through’ when you really need it. I had to share.

Steve, I owe you big.

yep, that happened a couple weeks ago to me as well, fortunately she got me within 10 miles from home. Flat bed. Charged the batt. OK, pulled the alternator and found the brushes worn, replaced brushes, contact rings and bearings. Oh had to paint the fan & housing and slide (slippy) into a RS pulley hub. whoops!

Nice Steve, you saved the day once again!

How many miles did/do you guys have on the failed units?

Yup, Kudos to Steve! More than just "helpful" (which he is in spades), he is generous with his knowlege and shares his time and expertise.

David,
I got about 92K or so miles before mine gave up.

Sounds like a typical situation for Steve...pure gold !!!

I have lost count of the number of times Steve has shipped me "must haves" overnight without a blink of an eye. Nice....

Same story here. When I ordered my suspension system it was here pronto. Steve answered all my phone calls and I never had the sensation of being rushed or bothersome. The guy is great!

Not much to add about Mr. Weiner. Steve's terrific and he's an invaluable supporter & member of these forums.

Hi Rob:

Thank you for your kind words; I'm at your service, anytime.

The only real way to monitor alternator/voltage regulator performance is by using a voltmeter which is something that very few manufacturers use in their cars.

I'd be inclined to install a separate, stand-alone VDO voltmeter so you will be able to monitor system voltages and see if anything is awry.

I'd be at a complete loss if there were no Steve Weiner to put up with my silly questions.
