Question DOOR SEAL

My baby is a C2 ’95 and by the time the seal doors are gone.
Changing them, approx $150 plus labor (each).
Anyone change them recently, any idea to change the plastic sill w/ stainless steel.
Anyone recommends DIY for this issue or it’s better using a body shop.
Thanks in advance.

Only $150 each? You should feel lucky. I just bought new seals for my Targa and they were $262 each with my PCA discount. I would also love some advice on changing them.

Default door seals

that sounds expensive. 150 is the price Performance wants and they are high. call sunset porsche in oregon 1800 346 0182. they have the lowest prices if you live out out of state. as far as installing, very easy , the seal just pushes inside of channel. no glue needed or used. you can do it yourself.

Replacement is easy..... BTW, I just spent $110 each on mine at the local dealer.
Call Suncoast and the pricing should be about $110-$125

Instructions:
1. Remove old seal by pulling it away from the body toward you
2. Clean out ALL remnants of old seal and glue (I used a terry cloth towel and Stoner Glass cleaner to help remove manually).
3. Use 3M weatherstripping adhesive (Yellow kind) and apply to body groove where seal seats into
4. Shut car door and leave over night.
5. Drink your favorite beverage.

The old style door seal, prior to 95 should work just as well. It just lacks the molded corner as it is joined (bonded) at the top of the door jamb. I'm about to do mine.

Hey Scott a big beer for you. Your thoughts regarding to change the plastic sill w/ stainless steel or alluminun sounds silly or do you think it’s a nice compendium?
Cheers

I'll only add that you should wear gloves while applying the glue.
