Default Last Minute Check

My windshield will be replaced later this week as part of the corrosion "fix".
Does anyone know of any negatives related to using Bostic 6050 to fill the gap between the glass and the body as listed in TSB 59501 "Repairing Paint/Corrosion Damage"? I see some references to the TSB in the archives but no after-the-fact comments.
Appreciate any comments from first hand experience.
Thanks.

When I replaced my windshield, I used the Porsche silicon rope to fill the space. It took between 1 and 3 strands . The additional ploy is to "soak" the rope in Pedro's Ice Wax to eliminate the dreaded squeak. The Safe-lite tech used OEM glass and needed THREE attempts to get it right. Go with the most experienced Porsche glass tech you can find.
Good luck.
