Tried Driving the 993 to Work... Not Working!
Enjoy your car.
Pegasus, your senior partner would **** himself if he came to my office. Like the IT professional with the white cabriolet [sorry forgot your screenname], I am also in Atlanta and work in the technology industry, albeit in sales. One of the perks at our job is that if you hit a certain sales goal for the year, the company leases you a 911. This goal is set very high and is designed to be a tool to keep the salesperson striving to work hard even after they have had a successful year...
Most people in my office are under 35. I am 24. I got the 911 ifor the year beginning 2003. I was 23. There are 5 911s, A Cayenne Turbo, Ferrari F355, and a RUF BTR among the cars driven by fellow salespeople here. Yes, some of the people drive them and love the attention, some of them have bad attitudes, but who gives a crap...
It's YOUR car, YOU worked hard for it, and if your partner likes acting like a dictator, remind him that he's the one who chose to live in a capitalist society--if that doesn't work I'd just take it for granted that he is the one with 3 Alimony payments, and if the "worst" decision you could make is to drive a nice car to work that you earned, it's a hell of a lot better than his decisions in life.
Don't let the "man" bring you down!!

I've never really had a problem at work. When I bought my SC Targa years back, there were a few comments (from friends). When it has come up since then, I point to the umpteen SUVs in the lot. Only problem I've had with the tt the last few weeks is keeping the drool off.
