Calling Gert, at Carnewal
How do you dial a foreign phone number from the states?
My mother just backed into my car... Boogered up the front end pretty bad. More to come on that. But for now I'm trying to quickly get a replacement ordered. I hear Gert is the man so I want to try him first.
I am probably going to hop for the turbo bumper cover as it is almost the same as the C2 cover.
Any help would be appreciated.
Keith, that fog light you gave me was short lived.

I'll post pics as soon as I get my camera back from my mother.
The tow hook/muffler on her CRV made a nice gouge in the bumper cover.
This is the first time I've had to deal with an insurance company (both of us have USAA) so I am hoping it'll work out the way I want it.
Tomorrow I take it to a shop for a quote. Evidentally based on the initial quote, USAA sends me a check to have the repairs performed. Then if things get under budget (hiden problems) they work out that additionally. So, what I'm thinking about doing at the moment is this:
Get quote
Get check
Order euro TT bumper, signals and maybe S ducts from Gert
Once recieved, take parts to quality paintshop (hardest part)
Once painted, put the car in fathers shop (has nice tools and 8000lb lift)
Replace bumper my damn self and save a bit of money and hopefully 'time'
I only hope Gert has one in stock.
I'll shoot him an email and see if he's awake.
I did want to do this upgrade, just not under these circumstances. I was inside when she hit the car but I told her I can already feel my neck starting to ache. Anyway, it ought to be good enough for 'any pie/cake/goodie' I can think of for the remainder of my stay here.

Gert's worth calling, very knowledgeable and nice to talk to. You should be able to reach him around 10:00pm Montana time (8:00am in Belgium).
From the U.S. all international calls are [011]-[country code]-[city code, like our area code, but drop any leading 0's] [phone number]. I assume Viken gave you the correct # above.

Both the US and Europe are now on Daylight Savings Time so the difference between Europe and the east coast is 6 hours. Montana is on Mountain Time I think so 10pm in Montana is 6 am in Belgium. Might be a bit early still!

I put a turbo front PU on my car after an accident in the UK. Gert had them at a better price but the Porshe 'approved' bodyshop refused to use it - sorry Gert - they then said they could only use parts from Porshe UK and it wouldn't fit and I told them it would, and it did.
While you're at it and you have paint in the gun, get the split grille from Gert, night and day.

Here is a photo of a turbo (euro) bumper that I had replaced (usaa) on my NB.I believe that Viper Bob can source the Bumper. As far as USAA they are going to base the payout on the standard parts book cost. At the time (3 months ago) the price difference was about $175.00 Dollars. However if you do a search for Viper BoBs Christmas deals you will find that he carried the Euro Bumper at one time.
