Default Anybody had any luck with the TRG bushings?

So my squeaking saga continues. My mechanic and I have isolated the squeaking to the bushings on the TRG Sways. We tried to lube up the bushings and adjust the drop links to stop the problem. No luck. Has anyone had success with this issue using a bushing made from a different material? My sways are only about 6 months old so I think I have the newest iteration of the TRG bushings. Any help would be highly appreciated. I feel like I'm driving around in an awesome handling squeaky rocking chair

I've found that boat trailer axel grease works pretty good on the TRG bushings. Just make sure it's the bushings and not metal to metal from the collar agains the frame (I lube that too).

I have not had any squeaking problems with my TRG sways. ViperBob supplied some sort of grease that sems to have worked pretty well.

Alex, I'll send some grease out today to Yuri. It should stop the problem and it should not come back. I greased my bushings 18 months ago, and there is no squeak at all...

Bob, what do you use? I was initially told white lithium, but that would wear off fairly fast (especially after getting wet).

That lube Bob supplies is the stickiest, most tenacious stuff I have ever seen. I needed solvent to get it off my hands and tools. White lithium is not in the same league.

I used lithium and have the same squeek...arg, it is horrible!

OTOH, it is not life threatening and we know what it is.

Viper Bob, can you give us a source for this magic goo?

If these are the same sway-bars I have, they came painted. Mine squeeked like mad. Take the paint off the bar at the place where the bushings hold the bar, so it's plastic against lubed steel. The squeek will disappear.

Thanks. Between VB's "special lube" and this idea, hopefully I won't have the best handling rocking chair on the block.

The lube that I have used for almost 20 years is teflon grease. It is great as it stays on FOREVER... (trust me. just wait until you try and get it off your hands). It is also essentially water proof so it does not wash off. ALso when lubbing a bushing, lube both sides of the bushing so that there is no squeek that can happen in between the clamp and the bushing....

BTW Alex, I sent your grease out to Yuri.....
