What to do to engine while out of the car
I am about to do an engine swap on my SC. I bought a 993 (1997) Varioram, and I wonder what are the recommended things to do to the engine while it is out of the car.
I owned a 964 before, but never a 993, so I wonder if there is an difference (e.g. vlve adjustment).
Also, i heard that valve guide tend to be a problem with the 993 engine. Is this something easy to replace.
Thanks and cheers,

A partial list:
Valve guides, lifters, plugs, wires, timing cover gaskets, clutch, flywheel, clean Secondary Air Injection ports.
Sounds like a fun ride, please post pics when completed.

I'd start off with some Slick 50
