Pop-up NAV screen that might work..??? kenwood..
Ive been told about the Kenwood KVT-915 and KVT-815.
These are headunits that have a popup screen... BUT,
the screen moves in a different way, in that the rear of the screen (top part) folds out first and it can move 4 inches away from the head unit.
Im told this may fit in a 993 and clear the dash.
Anyone know (find out?) if this works.
Also, as my car is in the shop, what are the relivant measurements? .. distance from head unit to dash overhang, size of dash overhang, etc.
thanks... i just think it would be great to have a nav screen that would work in a 993 w/o additional modifications.

Rob,
I too am in the NYC/NJ area and have been considering what options exist for an integrated nav system, so I am very interested in any options you may find.
While I have no experience with these guys, the work they show on their website appears to be top notch.

At the same time, I would really prefer not to have to pay a fortune to put one of these units in.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the Nav looks...it'll be a great addition to a 993.

i am also told that the Eclipse 8533 will fit in a 964/993.
Ive seen the work from AIDesign - very nice, but i dont need a real custom fabrication ... i just want a shop to install a head unit and speakers ... AI seems to be very costly.
