I'm trying to go for the most aggressive look possible, and i want the wheels as close to the fender as possible. I wouldn't mind rolling/pullling my fenders a bit to fit the 50mm offset wheels, but I'm wondering if it's even possible.
Jimmy, are you running the factory 10" with the 65 mm offset at the rear? If so, see how close they already are to the fender lip. The 60 mm will be 5 mm (3/16") closer and the 50 mm will be 15 mm (5/8") closer. I would imagine the 50 mm offset might definitely rub.

IMHO you can fit the 10.5 TE37 to narrow body but you have to roll your fender
SIZE OFFSET HOLE P.C.D.
8 1/2J +50 5 130
10.0J +50, +60 5 130
10 1/2J +40 5 130

I would be very surprised if you can fit 10.5 ET40s on a NB...that's almost a 32mm change from stock - you'd have to roll the fenders AND pull them to even have a chance for them to fit. (My Gemballas barely fit with slightly rolled fenders and they are a 26mm change)

There isn't a chance with the 10.5; that would be stupid to try. I say the 10 with the 60mm would be best fit for some wide tires, but the 50mm offset *may* fit.

50mm or 60mm......is there no chance to fit 285's on the 50mm? What's the widest on the 50mm, 265?

I have 285s on my 11" rims...ET50 will be very close with fender rolling - no 100% guarantee they will work. Also, not all 285s have the same width and profile..some are actually narrower than other brands' 265s.

What are you trying to accomplise? The Volks do not seem to have much of a dish anyways so I'm not sure how much diffence 1cm is going to make.

I'm trying to get the rim as close to the fender as possible. Do you know your camber settings? I'll most likely go with a pirelli 285/30/18 tire, as pirelli tires have "rounded shoulders" if you will.

I don't know my settings offhand and currently the car is shoe'd w/ SO2s....I know I had looked at 265 Goodyear F1s (the old ones) and they were significantly wider than the 285s. You can always add small spacers later on if you want the tuck to be more aggressive.

I just handled an 18x8.5 TE37 (not porsche spec but same size, etc) and it's like picking up nothing! Sooooo super light.

Yes, if nothing else, I would think these would make great track wheels. At the prices I've been seeing on the net, a set wouldn't cost that much... 2-2.5k?

Yup. They're a bargain imho.
