Ouch! I was confident that between countries, speeding tickets were no following! One thing is sure, in France, the automatic radars are not programmed to deal with foreign registrations. And in Belgium I've been taken by a radar at +-18Okm/h with a french registered car and never received the ticket either.

My opinion is that if you don't pay, you won't have problems...until you get stopped by the police in Italy. Then like in Belgium they could keep you. And this could happen for example at the security control at an airport at a moment you're not expecting it!!!
So if you don't plan to go back to Italy...

J.P.

Sorry to hear of your unfortunate stiuation. Can't your wife pull a few strings?

Your thread is very interesting reading. I can't believe the Finnish thing, wow. The more money you make the faster car you can buy... oh, oh. Eric Clapton don't become a Finn, what every you do.

A fact: one of the Nokia VP's got caught and his fine was in the millions... his previous years income had been very high due to options.

J-P

Yeah, Veendam is part of the "speed kills" inquisition, they'll hand your name to anyone who comes.
I crossed Maastricht the other day. People are so beaten into submission by mobile radar that they now drive 10 to 15 UNDER the limit. Drives me crazy.

I would't pay, just don't visit Italy for the next five years and it'll have expired. Extradition is unlikely...;-)

At least it is not yet reciprocative (yet), haven't seen any 40 over ticket hit the mat for over 1 moonths now....knock on wood.
