I am looking to get a better noise (stock and k&n right now), is it worth the 300$?

Pierre,
Probably not the amount of improvement in noise that you're looking for . . . especially for $300. Look into some of Robin Sun's RSRs. Search on RSRs on the forum and you'll find a lot of information. Also, try searching on Maxflo's and Supercups.
Also, search on K&N as many people don't like the airfilter due to issues with the MAF and/or report less HP. If you like the intake sound it gives you, try a motorsound airbox or get a stock air box and drill the holes. (Templates for drilling the holes can be found by searching, too.)
Regards,

Viken and David,
That's my experience too. A couple of weeks ago I had my car sitting next to a 97 C4S with motor sound and my RSRs were deeper and louder while running at idle. The motorsound did sound good though . . . it was better than the stock cans for sure.
And in re the RSR, you could not do business with a better person than Robin.

Definitely go for the RSR's! Also, add a side-order of Motorsound airbox..
Another thing to consider, when requested, Robin will "RSR" your mufflers and return to you. This way, you know they will fit and not get stuck with tweaked mufflers like ones you may find in a junkyard..

I went from a MSP (Motor Sound Package) including the MSP mufflers to RSR's. It was only marginally better until I drilled bigger and more holes to the airbox, now it ROCKS!!! I still have the MSP mufflers if you want to try these out....

Fish around a bit..
Robin Sun's mufflers are the way to go... but they may be on back order. $300 for a pair of sport mufflers is not bad assuming they include the tips! I have Motorsound Mufflers on now...they are just fine for mde.
