Question The slippery slope.....

I was wondering how much $ is their involved to set up a 993 how it should?

Everybody knows that the slippery slope is very bad for the wallet but the question is how bad?

Maybe we can make a list starting with a bone stock 993

I mean a good looking 993 with the wright set up. Maybe some RS mods... Not GT2 or TT (not turbo charged).

How much did it cost you to do all the mods in your signature? Or did you buy the car that way?

I did buy the car almost with all the mods that I wanted but I've just made a list with the cost..

3.8 upgrade 11.000€
Turbo S scoops 275€
Third brake light 250€
Split grill 295€
LWF 1450€
Short shifter 75€
Strut brace 300€
Alu shifter + handbrake 595€
Carbon kit 3000€
PSS9 2000€
Alu door sills 200€
18" wheels 3500€
Techart chip 1600€
Techart exhaust 2300€
S4 front 1500€
Motorsound 200€
Total ---------------
28450€ 37.000$

If you see the cost for a proper set up isn't it better to buy a TT ???
I almost answered my own question. How much does a Turbo install costs?

Oh My.. Oh My... this is not a slippery slope; you are falling off a cliff!!

If you are considering a trade, send me a PM. A source I know could perhaps get you into a TT for a reasonable difference of Euros.

Good weekend.

Don't do it. Your car is so nice and unique. If you were to step up to an RS, that might be a different story

Setting up a 993 "RIGHT", is a matter of opinion, and personal taste. There are so many options.

But if you do get a TT, you're going to want to most of those same upgrades to that. You'll defintely want a new suspension, new mufflers, .... the slippery slope begins again.

Well said. After PSS9's, HRE's, 3 spoke steering wheel, euro front bumper, turbo S ducts, etc on my 993 C4S, I thought getting a 993TT with PSS9's, HRE's, LWF/Clutch, V1 would be it. Not!

The sickness is within us.

Question

An RS crossed my mind also but is an RS really that different with my car (with my set up)?
I have a friend that has an RS and the only difference is the handling on the other hand my car is faster and has more HP.
