Anyone driven up there since the 22" or so of rain? I'm wondering what the conditions are like. Damaged roads? Construction? Pot holes?
If it's all cleared up I'd be up for an early Sunday morning run.

I'll take a drive up this weekend and let you guys know. If we can't go at a spirited pace it is not worth it. Last week there were still some seeping hillsides with H20 and sludge flowing across the entire road. But, I'll let you guys know the 411.

Hey Guys,
I was speaking with someone the other day that lives in the Malibu canyons and he said that Saturday morning is even better inasmuch as there are not as many cops, other like-minded boy racers and motorcycles.
Just a thought... maybe we should try a Saturday morning run sometime to see what's what? What do you guys think about that and any comments? Christian, you live around there, was this fellow correct in his thinking?
Happy Friday guys.

Sat or Sundays are always good, but Saturdays are better since I wouldn't have to skip my morning Ice Hockey. Anyone thought about doing a run a little bit north up to the Santa B area? Wine country, Cold Springs Tavern etc.....Its all good. My guess is there's also less fuzz in the area than the canyons near Malibu. I'm dying to hit some twisties somewhere thats not residential. Still haven't taken my 993 out for anything but some commuting and a few drives through Montecito visiting some friends. I've done it in the 928 but big wheels/tires/good suspension/upgraded exhaust system doesn't offset the boredom of driving with an automatic transmission. The 993 is WAY-more fun!

I'd love to have a chance to have at least one Saturday run (Sundays are never good for me). I'm a little surprised to hear that there is less activity on the roads on Saturdays, though; I would expect Sundays to be much more quiet. I wouldn't mind a Santa Barbara run, either, to visit old stomping grounds (the old Scirocco could never carve up 154 like the 993), but I think that would be more of an all-day affair for us LA-based types. Not a bad thing, just different.

There's a Euro swap meet at Veterans stadium. Here is the link.

I wouldn't mind going on a run. It's been a while. But that depends on how the raod conditions are though.
