Not sure about rusted parts, they made comment that if they were nickle-plated or chromed there would be additional $40 charge. Assume this is to strip first. They claimed the following warranty:

"All parts receive a 3 year unlimited guarantee that covers chipping, peeling, cracking, discoloration, rusting".

Hello rennlisters! I coated my tips about a year ago, after trackdays and ten K of driving around, the coating held up great! scraped the bottoms on a driveway or two but a nice lasting shine! discovered these guys when I worked at a M/C shop. Also (sick) coated the exhaust on my ole Mazda B2600I after a kinda restoration. exhaust manifold & downpipe. It is holding up wonderfully! I promise it doesn't get the polishin that the P-car gets!
Yep that's my auction! edward

Poilishing the tips is easy and rather rewarding, but I'm sure a plating shop can do it for not much money.

Here's a thread on it: Click here.

Mark - do they maintain the polished look or do you have to rub clean after every car wash? Chrome and hopefully jet-hot coat is easy to maintain, a quick wipe and it looks like new.

verboten...the polished tips are very easy to maintain. Most of the time I just wash and dry with the car...about twice a year I get a little Meguires stainless polish on the tip of a rag and wipe them down and then use a clean soft cloth to wipe the polish off...works like a champ.
